Yet another retail credit card I have reviewed is the Circuit City credit card. This card is another one that you should avoid at all costs.
I can't really see any benefit to getting this card. It is that bad. The annual percentage rate is high, above 20%. They have so many ways to cheat you out of the rewards program. If it was an easy rewards program to understand with no catches then the credit card might be worthwhile.
As it stands you earn 5 points per dollar spent at Circuit City and 1 point per dollar on all other purchases. You receive a $5 gift certificate at 500 points that can only be spent at their stores. Plus when you use a gift certificate you forfeit the rest of it if you don't spend the full five bucks. Gift certificates also expire after 90 days of being issued so make sure you use them up fast.
